Weavers Yurt

Wow… just wow one of the most amazing stays we’ve ever had. The location and vibe of the place was soooo chilled. Such a lovely pair of hosts too. We had the best time ever and will definitely be booking again as soon as we can free up some time. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Perfect birthday celebration.  We stayed here for our daughters 21st and we had the most amazing relaxing time. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and made to feel relaxed. The outside space is so tranquil from the sauna to the outdoor seating area to the hammocks to the fire pit. The inside of the yurt is so cozy and the attention to detail was lovely. The kitchen area was full of all the essentials and even provided us with marshmallows….it was the perfect way to celebrate this birthday and we will definitely be back.

If you want a magical retreat in a gorgeous setting with fabulous hosts this is the place for you! Im almost reluctant to write a review as selfishly want to keep it to ourselves!  Lovely yurt with the comfiest beds. You are tucked away in your own private woods with a little stream to paddle in. The sauna was fantastic and the cold water outdoor shower perfect during the heatwave when we stayed. The hammocks dotted around beg to be relaxed in with a good book. The kitchen and shower room have everything you need.

This is glamping on a whole other level and the whole place has a south east asia vibe about it.  Grant and Oliva couldn’t have made us feel more welcome and offered advice to the best pubs beaches and places to explore as well as fresh eggs from their chickens and the biggest marshmallows to toast over the firepit.  At the end of the week none of us wanted to leave, in fact we could have easily moved in!  We will definitely be back. In my daughters words ‘best holiday ever!!’

If you’re in need of somewhere to relax, escape a busy life for a while or if you’re wanting somewhere different to stay in beautiful Devon, you will not be disappointed booking this lovely retreat yurt. Olivia and Grant were so welcoming and what they have created is inspiring. It felt like we had a taste of all the exotic and beautiful places we have visited in the world in one place. We are returning next month with our daughter and we can’t wait! The sauna and cold shower are a must, have a little walk through the stream and if you feel like it the coast isn’t too far of a drive away.

We arrived late driving straight from London and were welcomed to a roaring fire in the cosiest most magical yurt that was a cross between the inside of a genie’s bottle and a fairy cottage. Olivia and Grant are the most generous thoughtful hosts who have planned every detail so that you have the most relaxing and enjoyable trip imaginable. Our highlights were morning coffee by the babbbling brook, yoga on the sun deck and reading books in the hammocks. We thoroughly recommend this warm and cosy stay!

Truly special place, a place to have fun and a place to reset the mind, I’d happily spend a few days alone here, with peace and quiet and privacy!!
We spent the night here for my daughters 14th birthday and loved every second, sitting out round the fire in March when we’d normally be sat around the TV, how very special !! The beds are unbelievably comfy and warm and so we’re the hosts!!!! It’s a dream spot it a gorgeous part of Devon!!

My husband and I had a fantastic weekend. Weavers yurt was the most beautiful peaceful experience. Olivia and Grant made us feel very welcome and have thought of everything to make our stay perfect. We would love to return with our little girl, she would absolutely love it. THANK YOU XXX

Stayed here with my mum for an end of Easter break getaway and it was absolutely beautiful. From the warm welcome (from Olivia, Grant and Spanner), to the cosiness of the yurt and the peaceful, private surroundings everything was delightful. We really enjoyed the sauna, the cold shower and paddle in the stream afterwards was refreshing! Magnetic darts, hula hooping and fairy lights around the fire pit in the evening were the icing on the cake! A lovely place to spend a relaxing few days.

This place really is magical and there is not one thing we could fault. Even though it rained during our stay the yurt was very cosy and the covered space outside came in very handy. We spent all of our nights wrapped up outside around the firepit. The kids loved this place and not once were we asked for any kind of device (unheard of in our house) Thank you for sharing this wonderful space with us! I can’t recommend it enough.

We had an absolutely magical stay in the Yurt! From the moment we booked Olivia and Grant were extremely responsive and helpful via messages. The yurt itself is great, it’s in such a peaceful and remote area. You can have a fire both inside and out! You’ve got plenty of space and the whole area brings a sense of calmness and relaxation. A magical retreat.  Somewhere to truly escape and relax into the surroundings.  Everything has been so thoughtfully planned that it felt so easeful just being there.

We loved being together as a family in the cosy yurt, listening to the tawny owls and watching the bats at night, playing in the stream, sitting by the fire. The sauna and cold shower were so welcome and made our stay feel even more special.

Grant and Olivia (and family) were wonderful hosts who have created a very magical space. We hope to come back one day!

Olivia and Grant were lovely hosts and the yurt was really magical. They both thought of every detail and their guests’ comfort. There is everything you need (plus extra) to have a relaxing break. The village is quiet and there are plenty of beautiful places to visit near by. We have been recommending the yurt to our friends already. Thank you xx

A wonderfully comfortable yurt in the most peaceful of settings, with amazing hosts. The yurt is beautiful and the woodland setting with the brook alongside makes the whole place so relaxing and the perfect space to unwind, and, in our case, spend some quality family time together. Grant and Olivia are fantastic hosts and made sure our stay was perfect. Lots of nice touches to improve guest comfort like electric blankets, a great shower (with super-fluffy towels!), really comfy beds, a log burner, and a sauna. The yurt is also perfectly located to visit lots of different attractions and places of interest without having to travel far. We will definitely be returning!!

Set in the most idyllic place where all you hear is the stream rippling and the birds singing. This place is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our 5 year old son fell in love with the place as much as we did. The host family are as perfect as the place. Very friendly and welcoming. This place is a hidden gem and we can’t wait to return.

Absolutely amazing!!! Such a magical, beautiful yurt with all the trimmings, honestly the photos don’t do the space justice The private kitchen was kitted out with everything we could need. We roasted marshmallows over the fire pit and went on a bug hunt in the stream with kids and they loved it! The shower was amazing! and the electric blankets were much appreciated in cold January nights we will definitely be booking again, the hosts and their gorgeous children were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. Thank you!!

Absolutely brilliant stay. The Yurt and whole set up was excellent and we will 100% be back again. Grant and Olivia are wonderful hosts and very welcoming.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay, I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Everything was spot on. The kids loved it even more than we did, plenty to keep them busy. We’ll definitely visit again.

This place is a real find! A friend and I walked part of the south west costal path starting in Branscombe which was about 30 minutes away. It was a great place to stay: peaceful setting, really comfy beds and every little detail thought about! Thank you Grant and Olivia. We will hopefully be back!

Grant and Olivia have managed to create the most magical and relaxing space at the Weavers Yurt. Perfectly positioned in Devon, this place is such a beautiful base for exploring. It is calm and relaxing, and offers so much indoor and outdoor space, with all the amenities you could possibly need. We loved our visit and we can’t wait to go back again soon and hopefully stay for longer. 

Amazing hosts, very welcoming and friendly, the place very clean and tidy and in the best location.  We loved it and the kids loved it more.

We had a lovely stop over at Olivia’s & Grant’s place. Such a wonderful tranquil space indoors & out. Loved the sauna & cold shower in the trees & the coziness of the yurt. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Grant and Olivia made us so welcome and are fantastic hosts. Their yurt is set in a beautiful secluded area of their garden with relaxation at the heart of our stay. The location is in easy driving distance to Seaton, Sidmouth and the stunning Jurrassic coastline. Thanks again for a lovely stay.

What a beautiful hideaway, indeed! We really enjoyed our time in the Yurt. Everything was as described, we loved the sauna and the hammock. Olivia & Grant couldn’t not be more helpful and caring. It’s a great location to explore the area with beaches like Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton, and Exeter only 30 minutes. There are also lots of local walks and the creek is fun especially for kids. Highly recommended!
