We love this woodland! It can be seen through the trees from the stream by the yurt.
Full of trails and paths for exploring or making dens (the evidence of others having done so is fun to see!).
Being set at the foothills of the the Blackdown Hills is such a gift for us and our guests 🙂
There’s a number of car parks with paths to Blackborough, the Gliding Club on North hill and many many interconnecting circular routes.

Walk from Weavers Yurt to the start of the woods
2.2km from Weavers to the Car Park
Blue line on map is along road.
– Drive takes 5mins.
– Walk takes circa 30mins. It’s uphill (so with children takes a while longer 😉
Walking in the Woods
Pink line on map shows the easiest walk in the woods. It’s flat, but can get muddy in certain parts.
Lot’s of other footpaths to explore that take you higher up into the woods 🙂
